Cancellation Policy

To help ensure the best experience for everyone, please review the following class policies: Health and Vaccination Policy Puppies must be in good general health and up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations and parasite prevention, as recommended by their veterinarian. Do not bring your puppy to class if they have vomiting, diarrhea, coughing, unexplained lethargy, or other signs of illness. Please notify the trainer if your puppy has recently been exposed to a contagious illness. Puppies who are unwell must remain home until it is appropriate to return. Owners are responsible for discussing vaccination timing and infectious disease risks with their veterinarian. Registration and Payment: Full payment is required at time of registration to reserve your puppy's spot in class. Registration is not considered complete until payment has been received. Class spaces are limited to ensure that each puppy and handlers receives appropriate instruction and support. Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Cancellation and Refund Policy: If you need to cancel your registration, please provide as much notice as possible. Cancellations made 7 days or more before the first class may be eligible for a full or partial refund. Cancellations made after this date may not be refundable due to limited class sizes and the inability to fill a reserved sport on short notice. If Tried and True Canines must cancel a semester of class, participants will be offered the option to transfer to a future class or receive a full refund. Missed Classes: Because each class builds upon the skills taught in previous sessions, participants are encouraged to attend every class and be on time. If you will be absent, please notify the trainer as soon as possible. Refunds, credits, or make-up classes are not guaranteed for missed classes. If Tried and True Canines must cancel a week of class, a make-up class will be added onto the end of the class schedule. Equipment and Training Methods Puppies must remain on leash unless the trainer specifically directs otherwise. Please bring a well-fitted harness or flat collar, a standard 6 foot leash, and small, high-value training treats. Retractable leashes, prong collars, choke chains, and electronic collars are not permitted during class. Training will use reward-based, humane methods. Physical punishment, leash corrections, intimidation, and other aversive training techniques are not permitted.
